The 4x Portland Monthly Doctor Recipient Expands ROC’s offerings with Elbow Expertise
ROC is pleased to announce the addition of Nathan Orvets, M.D., a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow care, to its renowned team of physicians. With over a decade of experience, Dr. Orvets brings advanced training in both minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques and complex joint replacement procedures, further enhancing ROC’s ability to provide world-class, personalized orthopedic care.
Dr. Orvets treats a wide range of conditions, including rotator cuff tears, upper extremity fractures, arthritis, and shoulder and elbow instability caused by sports, work, or wear-and-tear injuries. His patient-centered approach emphasizes education and shared decision-making, empowering individuals to make informed choices aligned with their lifestyle and goals.

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Orvets earned his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech before pursuing his medical degree at The Ohio State University. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Boston University and Boston Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at Washington University in St. Louis. Recognized as a Portland Monthly Top Doctor for four consecutive years (2022–2025), Dr. Orvets is proud to call Portland home.
