Two physician-owned, independent orthopedic practices have combined to form ROC

Physicians with two of the most prominent orthopedic practices in Clackamas and Washington counties have merged. Regenerative Orthopedic Center and Orthopedics Northwest will operate as ROC, a physician-owned medical practice dedicated to providing exceptional, comprehensive orthopedic care to patients of all ages.

“Our patients will see the same physicians and staff, at the same offices, outpatient surgery centers, and hospitals they have built trust in,” says James Ballard, MD, a founder of Regenerative Orthopedic Center. “By uniting with Orthopedics Northwest, we’re able to provide more access to innovation, expand our specialties, create more cost-saving opportunities for our patients, and meet the needs of our growing population in the Portland area.”

“We founded Orthopedics Northwest to advance what’s possible in orthopedic care and to take excellent care of patients. Our merger with Regenerative Orthopedic Center amplifies our ability to deliver on that,” says Chris Nanson, MD, a founder of Orthopedics Northwest. “We will realize greater operational efficiency and expand our ability to provide compassionate, quality care to more patients in Clackamas and Washington Counties.”

A Snapshot of ROC:

  • 3 locations in Tualatin, Oregon City, and Tigard
  • 12 nationally recognized, board-certified orthopedic surgeons – upper/lower extremities, sports medicine, total joint and outpatient total joint replacement specialists
  • 12 specialty-trained physician assistants

Unified as one brand, ROC has updated its branding, logo, and website – including a chatbot – to create a central destination for patients seeking comprehensive orthopedic care and to streamline the scheduling experience.

“In a digital world, customers expect businesses to be available 24/7, and the same holds true for healthcare. Patients are expecting more, and our new website delivers on that with easier wayfinding, a convenient chat feature, patient education tools, and resources, including online scheduling,” adds Dr. Ballard.

The new website serves as the digital home to ROC and the consolidation allows the practice to stay ahead of the curve with the latest techniques and technology including minimally invasive, robotics-aided, and customized surgical procedures, as well as innovative, non-surgical alternatives and pain management.
