Injection Treatment Options
When are injections the right treatment? Injection therapy can relieve pain, reduce inflammation, improve mobility, and promote healing, depending on the type of injection you receive.

Injection Therapies Available
- PRP – reduces pain by drawing a sample of blood and separating the platelets, to mix with plasma. ROC providers inject PRP at the site of injured tissues to release growth factors that naturally activate the healing response in the surrounding cells.
- Cortisone (Steroids) - reduces pain by reducing inflammation. ROC providers will often inject into joints, but can also target soft tissues such as inflamed tendons. Typically, steroid injections are recommended for short-term relief and making it easier for your body to heal.
- XIAFLEX® (collagenase clostridium histolyticum) – improves movement and relief from Dupuytren’s Contracture. The enzyme-based injection helps break down palm cord structures. Learn more about XIAFLEX® here.
- lovera° – utilizes the body’s natural response to cold to alleviate knee pain. It is a non-invasive procedure that targets specific nerves and temporarily reduces knee pain without drugs. Discover more about Iovera°.
- Hyalgan (Therapy) – This therapy involves injections of hyaluronic acid into the knee joint to improve movement and improve the lubricating process of the knee’s joint fluid.
- Visco supplementation (Hyaluronic Acid) – reduces pain by reducing shock and lubricating the joint for smooth movement

- Zilretta – helps manage knee osteoarthritis pain. Its extended-release corticosteroid formula provides sustained relief to the affected area.
