
Michaela Sanchez, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant with specialized expertise in orthopedic care and surgical optimization. She serves as ROC’s dedicated pre-operative clinic PA, working closely with patients to help them prepare for their total joint replacement surgical journey. Michaela is a key member of the care team, ensuring that each patient is thoroughly evaluated, medically optimized, and supported through education and care coordination prior to surgery.
Her role includes pre-operative assessments, patient education, risk factor management, and collaboration with surgeons, primary care providers, and anesthesia teams to ensure that patients are both physically and mentally prepared for surgery. She also plays an active part in post-operative follow-up and helps streamline transitions throughout the episode of care.
Michaela is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studie at OHSU. She is passionate about improving patient outcomes through proactive communication, standardized protocols, and evidence-based care.
Outside of work, Michaela enjoys following her favorite soccer team, Arsenal, exploring the outdoors, and staying active in her local Oregon community.
