About Dr. John Coen
Dr. Coen is a Board-Certified orthopedic surgeon with extensive experience in joint replacement surgery, known for his patient-focused approach and commitment to delivering the latest advancements in orthopedic care. His practice is dedicated to helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and return to the activities that matter most to them.
Dr. Coen has performed over 2,000 total hip replacements using the direct anterior approach, a muscle-sparing technique that allows for less post-operative pain, faster recovery, and more accurate implant positioning. His depth of experience with this approach has made him a trusted resource for both patients and referring providers seeking high-quality, evidence-based hip care.
In addition to his work in hip replacement, Dr. Coen has recently adopted the Jiffy Knee™ technique for total knee replacement—a minimally invasive approach that preserves soft tissue, reduces pain, and enhances recovery time for patients undergoing knee arthroplasty. By integrating this innovative procedure into his practice, Dr. Coen continues to demonstrate his commitment to offering the most advanced surgical options available.
Known for his clear communication, surgical precision, and focus on outcomes, Dr. Coen works closely with patients to ensure they fully understand their treatment options and have the support they need throughout their recovery journey. His goal is always to restore comfort, function, and confidence through compassionate, expert care.
Dr. Coen is currently accepting new patients and welcomes them to ROC.
